Marketers must research ethnic consumers to capitalise on the increase in their spending power, according an article in the Market Research Bulletin, a weekly newsletter published by Brand Republic.  Ethnic minorities represent a growing economic force. Marketers will need to change their traditional marketing approaches to take into account the attitudes and preferences of ethnic minorities.  Specific techniques are need to assess the ethnic market.  Strong images of family or religious associations achieved the highest impact in advertising campaigns.

Providing support to London's black and minority ethnic businesses
An essential new report, designed to offer vital support to London's black and minority ethnic (BME) businesses was launched recently. The report, Redefining London's BME- owned Businesses Action Plan has been designed by the London Development Agency (LDA). The event was held at the Conference Centre at Her Majesty's Treasury in Westminster. US statesman, Reverend Jesse Jackson provided the keynote address.

Asian-owned businesses play a major role in London's economy
Asian businesses in had a turnover of around £60 billion in 2004 according to a new report from the Greater London Authority. The report,entitled. " The contribution of Asian-owned businesses to London's economy" ,  demonstrates the strength of the contribution of Asian businesses to London's economy.
